Second Chance The Charity Shop
At Second Chance we are a group of volunteers all devoted to helping the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abandoned animals in Bahrain.
The sole purpose of Second Chance is to raise money for the Second Chance Animal Rescue Center run by Tony 'Dogfather' Waters.
The more Second Chance can sell, the more animals we can help rescue and feed!
You can find Second Chance upstairs from Tibra's pet supply store on Budaiya Highway, situated between The Bookcase and The Goodlife Gallery. Tibra's is the official premises of the Cat Society.

Monday & Wednesday : 10.00 - 12.00
Friday : 16:00 - 18:00
Thank you: We are very grateful to the many generous good-quality donations already received.
Donation Information: We ask that all donated items be in good usable condition. Items that are broken, dirty or stained cannot be accepted because we cannot sell them. A good rule of thumb is that if you would not buy a particular item because of its quality, most likely no one else would either.
Please be assured that we aim to make the most money we can from your donations and sometimes the shop may not be the best place for us to sell them. If this is the case we will either keep the item for a fair, eg, if it is a brand new toiletry item, or if it would be better targeted at a particular market, such as windsurfing equipment, we will post it for sale on a suitable website or club notice board.
Donations of cat/dog food and cat litter are also very welcome at the shop as are cash donations. For cash donations please hand these to a volunteer when Second Chance is open or Sarah will arrange to collect it from you at your convenience (please contact her via SecondChance.Bahrain@gmail.com).
ALL cash either from donations, fund raising, or Second Chance go directly to the animals at the 'Second Chance Animal Rescue Center' run by the Dogfather. With the exception of the Vets Fund we do not have the privilege of a sinking fund for future outlays, all money is needed now for immediate costs.
| Items that Sell in the shop: + Artwork + Antiques + Books (novels, reference & children's) + Clothing/Shoes (usable and unstained) + Electrical items + Exercise Equipment + Games (with all the pieces only, please) + Housewares (not chipped or stained) + Jewelry + Knickknacks + Magazines (recent) + Make-up/perfume (can be partially used) + Toys + Towels/Bedding (usable and unstained) + TVs (with remotes – no dial tuners) |

Items that Don't Sell:
- Broken or incomplete toys
- Broken or stained furniture
- Torn or stained clothing
If you would like to drop off any donations, you can leave them downstairs at TIBRA's - although the gentlemen who works there does not work for us, he will kindly accept the donations, look after them and hand them over to the shop's volunteers. He is a wonderful help to us.
